The main program of this building is an office for Real Estate company, while along the process and think-tank development has been defined to create a house of gallery, café with commercial space, and low-rise tower that contains multi-possibility functions for any rent office purposes. The Existing Building which was built in the 19th Century has been deformed from its original conditions, leaving it to a none floor plans preservation. The envelope of the whole façade is the only leftover footprint from its original condition. The Project is located in the Main Artery of national road network Jalan Sudirman or so called Postweg during the dutch colonial era, surrounded by commerce, night-life activities and culinary center. Around this block, in immediate proximity to Jalan Cibadak, is one of the crowded and 24 hours streets for trading and food festivals. The distinctive Architecture is mostly a heritage preservation of “peranakan” between Ducth and Chinese inheritance. The 19th century building has been partially preserved, which is only the envelope. It has been cleaned and restored to its initial state, and the design is to add a new 5 storeys tower inserted to fill the footprint. The tower acts as a backdrop to the existing building. In aligning the building language, the façade expression follows the same language of its existing facade while the mass formation plays the big role as a landmark and post-modern form to gain a contrast silhouette to the old one.
