Bratatex's existing factory is located in Cimahi industrial district where textile is one of the dominating sectors besides pharmacy, manufacture, and building material. This industrial area has its charm to a larger scale in West Java, beside the attractiveness for people to work here, but continuing as a growth index economy for Kota Cimahi itself. This characteristic has a potential for the whole complex as a core of various industries in the West Java Region. The total land of +/- 7213.4 sqm has to be filled with new programs as requested such as Gallery & Workshop with a better circulation system on top of existing programs. The Existing program has to be improved as well as the size, quality and circulation process for a new development to the whole plot. Because of the unattractive surrounding, the design’s main intention is to create a building which is inward-oriented. The orientation manifested by placing most of the opening inside rather than outside. As viewed from the whole building, the opening functioned as a green area. This area appears as a thermal buffer from the natural light and air circulation. The room interacts one another through voids among them, to confirm its orientation.
